The storm drain system is designed to remove rain water quickly from the streets and parking lots to prevent flooding!

Leaked oil must be cleaned up with sand or kitty litter.

Repair the leaking vehicle or place an oil drip pan under the vehicle to catch the oil until it can be repaired. Never use a hose or power washer to wash oil off of a surface.

Grass clippings and leaves should never be blown or swept into the street or storm drain.

Grass clippings and leaves can clog the storm drain inlets and cause flooding of the streets! They also can add too many nutrients to our creeks and lakes which can cause fish kills! Blow the grass clippings and leaves back onto the grass, bag them or add to your compost pile.
